Weekly Review of Games Broadcast in Your Area
We’re almost at the halfway point of the regular NFL season, and going into Week 7 time is slowly running out for some teams to turn it around. With six undefeated teams in the league, there are a lot of teams right now going 2-4 and 2-3; leaving a lot of fans frustrated. So will this week be the rise of the mediocre or will the undefeated continue to roll over the competition? Let’s find out.
Here is the schedule for Week 7.
Week 7 NFL Schedule
Now let’s talk about which one’s you want to want this week.
CBS: Thursday Night Football
Featured Matchup – Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers, 8:25 PM EST
This is going to be a must-win for both teams. At 2-4, both the Seahawks and 49ers are on the verge of watching their season slide into oblivion and the tipping point just might be this rivalry. The 49ers have the momentum going into the matchup, but if history has taught us anything, there is little hope for Kaepernick and his struggling offense.
CBS: Early Sunday Games
Featured Matchup – New York Jets vs. New England Patriots, 1 PM EST
Riding high off of a victory against the Colts, the undefeated Patriots now set their sights on 4-1 New York. The Pats having faced a top-ranked passing defense all season, it’s going to be fun to see how Brady fairs against the #2 passing defense in the league.
Alternative Matchup – Pittsburgh Steelers vs. The Kansas City Chiefs, 1PM EST
FOX: Early Sunday Games
Featured Matchup – New Orleans Saints vs. Indianapolis Colts , 1 PM EST
Heading into this matchup we have two distinct attitudes from the competing teams. The Saints are understandably excited over toppling then-undefeated Atlanta, while the Colts are a feeling a little deflated over their loss to the Patriots. But with Luck back in action, the Colts hope to run over the Saint’s battered defense; although the Falcons hoped to do the same.
Alternative Matchup – Atlanta Falcons vs. Tennessee Titans, 1 PM EST
FOX: Late Sunday Games
Featured Matchup – Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants, 4:25 PM EST
Dallas is still reeling after the loss of their star quarterback Tony Romo and the team is struggling to get their rhythm back after a three-game losing streak. But with Dallas 4-1 against the Giants at home, this weekend would be the best time to break that losing streak.
NBC: Late Sunday Game
Featured Matchup – Philadelphia Eagles vs. Carolina Panthers, 8:30 PM EST
With Cam Newton at the helm, the Carolina Panthers have been unstoppable (5-0) this season and this week they’ll be playing at home. That could be a problem for the Philadelphia Eagles, who have had a so-so season this year (3-3). If the Eagles can get the ball to DeMarco Murray, they may have a fighting chance; but the smart money says that the Panthers will shut down the offense. What do you think?
ESPN: Monday Night Football
Featured Matchup – Baltimore Ravens vs. St. Louis Cardinals 8:30 PM ET
